about

Recorded at a live performance in downtown Jacksonville (The Imperial Lounge or was it Rock 'n' Roll Pizza?) on November 21, 2002. The main trio of Da Bigg Boyz (Brian Hicks, Jay Peele, & Colin Westcott) are joined by Joe Yorio on baritone sax and Travis Orr ('Or Does It Explode?') on live sampling and dubbing. Brandon Lucas steps up to the mic for a spontaneous vocal towards the end of the set. There were only a few people in attendance and it was such a blessing to find this CD stashed away in a shoe box (found more than 11 years after the fact in March of 2014). Rest in Peace Mr. Brian Hicks and thank you for the gifts you left in this world. Namaste

about

Jay Peele Jacksonville, Florida

Born in the early 70's, Jay Peele played with tape recorders, record players, and drums in early childhood. A few piano lessons and playing trumpet in high school marching band along with a growing love of rock, metal, and jazz served to point Jay towards guitar and voice. 'Psychic Distance' by Inferno was released in Europe in the early '90s. Experimental and electronic albums abound. shatterwax ... more
